Ashes Keepsakes: Caskets, Urns and Jewellery
After a funeral involving a cremation, most people choose to receive the ashes of their loved one back so that they can do something personal with them.
As an independent funeral director, we are not limited to certain suppliers. We have access to an almost unlimited variation of ashes caskets, urns and keepsakes to suit all tastes. Below are just a few of the products that we use regularly to give you a few ideas. We have recently expanded the range to include cremation jewellery for that extra special tribute to a lost loved one.
If you see something you like, just let us know. We will arrange for the ashes to be transferred, and will let you know when they are ready to be collected. If you are not from the York area, and would like to purchase a casket or urn, we can arrange delivery, just place an order online or get in touch.
Please talk to us if you have something different in mind, so that can point you in the right direction for a reliable supplier. If you are looking for an urn to hold an adult's ashes, we would recommend a minimum capacity of 3.5L.
Can I source my own casket, urn or keepsake?
By all means, these are simply options. If you want to source your own, we will never pressure you to use one of our suppliers, and will help you find the item you're looking for from a reputable business.
You do not even have to choose one at all if you don't want to. All Crematoria will supply a basic container, usually an Eco-Urn, for the cremated remains to be returned in. This is included in the cost of the cremation.
Should you later decide you would like a different casket or urn, we can supply one and transfer the ashes over for you.
